Who runs Mirror?
I do: Maria Kovalevich, an independent product designer based in Portugal. There is no company behind Mirror. I’m responsible for your data, and you can reach me at m.kovalevich@gmail.com.
What does Mirror store?
Your name and email address, from Google when you sign in.
The recordings you upload, and the transcripts and analyses made from them.
Your voice profile, if you create one.
If you applied through the form on this site: your answers to it.
Who else processes it?
Mirror relies on a few services to work:
AssemblyAI turns your recording into a transcript.
Anthropic (Claude) writes the analysis from that transcript.
Supabase stores your recordings, transcripts and analyses.
Sentry receives technical error reports. These contain no meeting content, but may include your account ID.
Tally hosts the application form.
AssemblyAI and Anthropic process data in the United States, under the EU’s standard safeguards for such transfers.
Is my data used to train AI?
No. Anthropic doesn’t train its models on data sent through its API, and Mirror has opted out of model training with AssemblyAI.
Can other users see my meetings?
No. Each account’s data is isolated at the database level, so one user can’t reach another’s recordings, even through a bug in the app.
Can you see my recordings?
Technically, yes. As the person running Mirror, I have administrator access to the database. I don’t open your recordings or analyses unless you ask me to help with a problem, and I’ll never share them.
What is the voice profile?
Mirror coaches you, not the other people in the meeting, so it needs to know which voice is yours. You record a short sample once, and Mirror turns it into a voiceprint: a set of numbers describing your voice, not an audio file.
When you upload a meeting, Mirror compares each speaker’s voice to your voiceprint and picks the closest match. The comparison data for the other speakers is discarded straight away and never stored. Your voiceprint stays until you delete it by emailing me.
The voice profile is optional. Without it, Mirror may attribute the wrong speaker to you.
What about the other people in my recordings?
Your recordings include people who haven’t signed up for Mirror. Please upload only meetings where everyone knew they were being recorded, and don’t upload meetings covered by a confidentiality agreement that doesn’t allow it.
How long do you keep my data?
Until you delete it, and no longer than 1 months after the beta ends. Applications from the form are deleted after 1 month if you don’t join the beta.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual meetings in the app. To delete everything — your account, recordings, transcripts, analyses and voice profile — email [m.kovalevich@gmail.com]. I’ll confirm once it’s done, within 30 days at most.
The legal part
Mirror processes your data to run the beta you’ve agreed to take part in. Your voice profile is processed only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting it. You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. If you’re unhappy with how it’s handled, you can complain to Portugal’s data protection authority, the CNPD.
